What do you all like for a quick and dirty primer? I need to cover up some bare metal on the Ramcharger... Hopefully next fall will see some honest to goodness body work, but right now I need to stop any more rust from starting.

I like the self-etching primer. I'm not married to a brand.

Car being stored outside or driven? Primer can absorb water and exacerbate the rust problem. You could use a rust encapsulator for the time being and take it off when it's time to do bodywork, prime, and paint?

Either just swipe it with some tremclad or get a can of epoxy primer with the activator pin.
