Apparently her security wanted a more discreet car than the usual bright-white Escort RS colors...so they had Ford paint it black, which instead meant that she was driving a car with a one-of-a-kind color combo
I was a sixteen year old boy when she got that car. She was smoking hot to us hormone drive kids, and I recall every one of those pics from the time.
Hmm..... I never realized that the UK version of the Escort had actual negative camber in the front, and not like 2 degrees positive like the US version. Not that it is relevant anymore because the cars are so rare, but I wonder what the specific differences are.
That is the car, BTW, that is the reason why for a while people were fascinated with putting CVH heads on Zetec blocks. Only the US got the 1.9 and 2 liter versions of the CVH, so the ability to have a 2 liter turbo CVH was a game changer.
