Looks like John and Chris are making real progress with the MX-5 project. The Mazda started the season as the darkest of dark horses in the STR class, but it's beginning to look like the strategy is paying off.

dark horse? it was initially considered for specific exclusion b/c a lot of people thought it would run away with the class.
I would like to build an MR-S for this class, but I cannot even afford the MR-S...maybe i should sell some of my crap...
Side note, anyone want to trade two TR-7's, a 68 mustang, a 93 mustang, and an 87 Supra shell for one solid MR-S?

A couple of votes here... but mostly I was going off the impression I got during the Dixie National Tour, which was the first tour event of this season. At that time, there were a handful of S2000s, a pair of MR-Ss, and a lone MX-5 piloted by our Chris and John. When they were 8 seconds back from the trophies, the MX-5 looked like a very dark horse.
