I don't know, but I'd claim the 1 foot and stick the rest on the shelf.
Ziptie rule. Just count the portion you used.
Prorate it. For a low priced item I usually count the entire price, but on a high ticket item I only count what I use. (Who knows, you may use the remainder on a future challenge car.)
My first time at "The Show" a Hong Norr team member said, "If it's not on the car it's not in the budget". I thought that made sense.
I had to do same with my fuel vent line. I had to buy a 15 foot roll to get 2 feet.
