Totally understandable and she seems like a wise lady! Nobody is beating the doors down, so maybe she's (the triumph) waiting for you.
The wise "financial manager" just approved a motorcycle purchase for me. Her reward for getting a few things outa her yard!
Part of the deal is getting back to riding to work all the time, for fun, and to save money on gas. I used to ride all the time, including bad weather. "There is no suck thing as bad weather. Only bad gear!"
The K bike I rode for years was one of my favorites, but is down to being more expensive to fix than replace. I told he, as much as I liked it, if this one does not get me back into ridin' to work most of the time, I'll hang up my jacket, and admit that I am no longer a motorcyclist!
The last bike bored my so much, I only rode it 4 times in a year and a half. I haven't put 5000 miles on the last 4 bikes all told since I took the K off the road. My goodness, that's been almost 10 years now! I've done 5000 in a couple months without ever being more than 100 miles from the house in my younger years!
I will mention yours to a good friend looking for his first bike. He's ridden a few, and liked the older Ninja 500's. Does not want a big fast bike for his first, and isnt planing to want one later, either. That Trumpet should be about as tame. Way different style, but does score cool points!
