I can think of two Putnam counties not far from me.

Well, things were always quiet around Putnam County, as it hung to the skirts of the two lane. . . .

Putnam County and model #'s no one understands. . . .

Local residents wouldn't allow it the first time around. The rumor mill around here is that most of the land surrounding the planned track's property has changed hands and the new land owners are willing to let the place come to fruition.

One issue I have with location of the track is the size of the town in which they are planning the track. Look up Pomona Park, FL. No lodging for 20+ miles, roads barely adequate for existing traffic, and no other supporting industries unless you make the drive to Daytona. Palatka has berkeley all, Crescent City even less.

In reply to Derick Freese:

Still less desolate than that place they were building down in the everglades

True, but they were talking about a full racing complex, not just a track on a few acres.

Honestly, with The Firm just a little over an hour away, I'm not sure this would be a financial success, unless they had something really good up their sleeve.

Is there any information on the web about this? I don't recall hearing about a possible track out that way.

The only place you will find much is The Palatka Daily News, but you have to pay for access to their archives.
