I just made this demo today for my Mechanics students. I'm pretty stoked on how it turned out.

Excellent vid, you should do a whole damned series!
You're informative, but not condescending. You also have a good energy without getting on my nerves like many hosts of TV shows...
Where's the tire balancing video?!
Wish I had watched this vid before I used a machine like that for the first time. The local gas station owner said I could use his machine to dismount about 20 old tires and wheels I had laying around one night after closing time. I showed up and only the guy pumping gas was there, and he had even less of an idea on how to operate the machine than I did. So I was on my own to figure it out. An hour and a half later I was done and on my way, but not before leaving a nice trail of blood behind. I was trying to pull a race tire off and was using the lever bar thingy. Pulling as hard as I could, it slipped and the end hit me squarely in the nose. Once I got the first couple figured out, I fell into a steady pace and the rest came of with ease. Blood makes a great lube by the way.
I found the threading video on the right panel. Never thought to use the live center to steady a tap... brilliant. One would think I might have noticed that all my larger taps have a guide hole drilled in them for that exact reason... but one would have been wrong.
Oh, the tire machine video was good too ;)
You took all the fun out of seeing everyone's mistakes now.....Until they get some of those 10" wide 35 or 40 series rubber.

Or the tire with a paperthin sidewall that has been laying on it's side for 2 yrs and won't seat.

Cheetah is your friend.

Cheetah failed. Eventually used some throttle body cleaner and a lighter.....

Wow, if the cheetah fails that's some stiff sidewall. We have this tire lube that we use to build up the space between the lip and the bead then cheetah it. Never had one not seat, even for the hipsters with stretched sidewalls.

These were the cheapest "Prime Well" tires that fit a Grand Cherokee. So they had plenty of sidewall to flex down and in to avoid being seated. I think it took like 2.5hrs to get all 4 mounted and balanced.
I'd rather try to get some run flats mounted on a Vette then deal with those again.
