Has anyone here used any of the Quick Change Oil Valves such as EZ Oil Drain, Fumoto, Aeroquip and maybe others I have not heard of. They are a permanent replacement for the oil pan plug and are opened with a lever, quick change fitting. They usually have a bib to which rubber tubing can be attached greatly reducing the mess of changing oil.
My application happens to involve a motorhome in which the oil pan plug is directly over a cross member which usually involves a mess no matter what kind of flexible or rigid trough is used to get the oil into drain pan. Supposedly with a hose or tubing you can drain directly into a disposal container. Like the idea of Aeroquip which also has a dust cap which would also reduce chance of accidental oil loss.
Anyone ever use one or can make recommendations? I’ve read they are used on race cars to make frequent oil changes easy. Thanks!
Stahlbus. Check ball released by installing the drain fitting w/ drain tube, plus O-ringed dust cap. Really good build quality.

There is one on the Manic Miata courtesy of the PO. Since removing the drain plug is typically the easiest part of any oil change, I never really saw much advantage.
I've used Fumoto's on most of my cars in the last 5 years or so and love them. If you are worried about the detented spring loaded lever accidentally opening, they even sell a plastic clip that keeps that from happening. (not that I've heard of it ever happening regardless)
I had one on a car at some point in the past and liked it. But, the P71 spends too much time on a rallycross course and the XJ and the Samurai spend a fair amount of time off road. The Abomination has very little ground clearance. Just the thought of snapping off a valve or destroying a pan gives me the heebie-jeebies. I'll just keep dealing with the plugs.
Maybe one day I'll stop doing stupid E36 M3 with cars, but by then I probably won't be doing my own oil changes either.
Yeah they're fine if you don't have to worry about the drain bolt bottoming out on anything. I don't run them because both of my vehicles are starved for ground clearance for the conditions - one is a lowered car that gets driven on awful roads, and the other is a Samurai that sees severe offroad use.

Main reason for asking is oil changes are messy with oil plug over the cross member and must be done while laying on ground without motorhome being jacked up for more room. Truck shops or RV Centers charge three times or more what I can do it for myself plus the hassle of taking it there and leaving it for a day or two.

The arrangement of the front subframe in my current car is the only reason I installed one. Like your setup, mine is bound to be messy without some way to redirect the oil. On all my other cars I've just used and been content with the standard drain plug, but this one is less convenient.
If your drain plug is oriented downward some larger valves might be vulnerable to damage, but if it's off to the side it should be safe. FWIW, the Stahlbus I mentioned is barely larger than the stock plug.

I think they're absolutely perfect for your application.
I love Fumotos and put them on everything.
