dont even get me started on the "rev'd up" music dubbed version (that i unfortunately own all of 1st stage initial-D in.. thankfully you can opt for classic subbed)

Yeah. Stuart Levy wanted to get his stuff on Toonami so bad..
And who knows? The new CTN managment fell for the stupid 4Kids version of "One Piece", didn't they? Heck, decisions like that is probably what killed Toonami.

Yeah, turned all the techno into grunge & rap. Personally, I think it ruined a lot of the "gearhead" moments...only one I can recall off the top of my head is a scene where Keisuke pulls up in his big yellow FD (perhaps the Akina race with Takumi?). In the Japanese version, there's no music at all..the man is trying to focus. In the TP dub, there's jailhouse booty sex music ("rap", some folks call it..) rumbling as he climbs from the car. Ugh.

I've played or owned most of all of the "Tokyo Xtreme Racer" games to come stateside, so the "Devil" Z was instantly familiar.
I wouldn't mind buying the DVD's but they are WAY too expensive on Amazon.
