I thought you guys might be interested in a no-budget documentary I'm working on following an SCCA member as he attempts to go from FE to the Star Mazda Championship on very little money. We're putting it up in installments as it happens.

it's a struggle for most that attempt to make the transition, even if the talent may be there. I see 3-4 drivers a year attempt to make the switch, the main issues are time commitments and age. Most of the drivers that I see do it make the transition between the ages of 36-46 after considering it for 2-4 years then deciding it's now or never. Ideally to make a proper go you want the transition made between the ages of 19-23, before the majority of US road course racers have even left an autocross course.
