What’s better than getting the chance to relive the automotive scene of the ‘80s and ‘90s? How about doing all that with your friends from GRM?

My first live post: Currently proofing the next upcoming Classic Motorsports cover story. Goal is to walk out the door by 11:30, so that really means leaving at noon.
Another update: I-4 through Orlando or take 429 around town?
That was fun. Late night–comedy of errors trying to find food, gas and a bathroom on the way out of Lakeland–but finally home. Lots of cool people/cool cars.
Pics to come.
I paired up with an old friend for the ride home.
Some pics from last night:
And the after-show adventure.
Show ended at 9 p.m., and we were all told that we'd have to clear the field then.
No problem. I went to a parking lot next door to break down the bike. We were chatting and had some people stop by to check out the cars. That might have taken about an hour.
Before leaving town, we both wanted to grab a bite, use the facilities and fuel up.
First gas station: closed.
McDonald's across the street: drive-thru only.
Second gas station: closed.
Third gas station: open!
Second McDonald's: drive-thru only. By now, we're right at the highway on-ramp.
So we walked to a nearby restaurant to clean up and then did the McD's drive-thru.
We ate outside.
So, about an hour and a half after leaving the show area, we finally hit the highway.
Fun times. Would recommend.
From the drive home: last-night rocket launch.
Went today, and spent nearly five hours walking around!
And I dressed 1984, too:
Learn about the Curb Dogs here.
And Curb dogs circa 1984:
I think I see a radwood easter egg in one of those pics...
Guess I have to load each picture individually.
None of the cars around the lake really showed up in this picture, but they wrapped around about 2/3rds here. There were also several city blocks on the other side that had cars lined up on both sides of the street.
Yeah, it's a cool, open venue. I hope to be back.
And the joys/realities of packing in the dark.
And it again looks like a bike:
And next stop with the bike–just to display, of course.
