Light FWD cars make excellent rally-X cars.
The question is are you prepared to flog it? If not choose a worthless car that you are.
Awesome RX car. Just no full throttle full lock turns unless you like changing axles.
The travel isnt that great, and it will bottom out. Deal with it, and change stuff as it bends.

What model doesnt?

Yes you do, it is. If you ever want to try it out and don't have a car to drive you are welcome to try out the Miata. There is also a rental car at the WOR events.

Thanks Evan.
Odd thing, I was in TN visiting the Parents, and started talking to a man ( old school drag racer ) that said National Trails was shut down. I haven't had a chance to check. I believe that was where a lot of the Rally-X's were run.

Fortunately, axles are easy peasy to replace on a CRX/Civic. Keep a couple of spares on hand, just in case.
I agree, great starter car. FWD, lightweight, great handling, and usually quite reliable. And it doesn't matter much whether you have an Si, DX, or HF because any extra power than traction can handle will just go up in wheelspin, anyway.
Yeah, The Full lock/throttle statement is a blanket one for all FWDs. Remember, The runs in RX add up, so a DNF on one due to an axle will ruin your day no matter how fast you change em out.
Sounds perfect to me. My most recent beater is a $400 probe with worn out everything and it idles like crap, but runs great at WOT, best $400 I've ever spent.
I do not intend to sound like i dont no e36m3 but by seam welding do you weld all the crimped edges on the lower unibody ?? if so i can do that

Not needed for rally-X. The person who posted that was talking about full-blown performance rally. It is common to seam weld cars for rallying.
