How hesitant would you be to run aftermarket wheels from Tire Rack or DTD on a rallyx car? We are looking for OE sized wheels but striking out. 17x7, 4x114.3.
DTD has stuff like this pretty cheap. This would be for stock class, so winter tires.

I wouldn't worry much about running them. Just keep an eye on them for any signs of stress cracks or other failures.
I run Konig Heliums in prepared with aggressive rally tires. They're great.
You'll be fine with just about anything.
Rallycross? Or state rally? Massive difference. Regardless, Bassett wheels. 50$ each. Any size you want, any shape you want. Same price, easily replaced, any lug pattern and ALMOST any offset...
That sounds like a Sentra wheel/tire. Nothing on car-part?
If you are wanting to run in Stock, I will happily point out that you are allowed to change wheel diameter by one inch. New problem: Trying to find 16x7 wheels.
I'd run any aftermarket aluminum wheel before any steel wheel.

Bassett sells wheels that cheap? I thought even the cheapest mini-stock wheels they sold were in the $70 range now.
Speedway has them at 55$, free shipping over 99$
Edit- didn’t read the 17” part... I think they will make them for you but might be a bit more.

Good call, I did not realize this rule change was put in place for RallyX as well (It originate with Street Class in autocross). Also, 10mm offset allowance too.
16x7s are just as easy to find as 17x7s it looks like. About $5-10 cheaper, which is nice, but the real bonus is better/cheaper tire selection.
^And that is probably one of the only times you'll ever see someone claim that 16" wheels offer a good tire selction.
I'll check with co-part. The issue is that even finding wheels for sale on B15 forums, by the time people factor in shipping costs, DTD will beat that total price + mail in rebates + free mounting if we get tires from them.

10mm allowance has always been in the rules. The 1 inch allowance is a very new thing that I have been pushing for since basically forever, and finally the RXB passed this year's rules submission for allowing different size wheels in Stock after much commentary by competitors who also want it.
Solo has nothing to do with it. If anything, people bitch continuously over how rallycross rules don't mesh with Solo, because there is some crazy idea people have that people would rallycross their highly prepped Solo cars if only the rules would allow them to run in a lower class, out of only three tiers of classing that are generally not any different in actual competitive times...
*shrug* perhaps. It seems that the +/- 1" wheel rule and any swaybar change seem to have appeared in Solo rules just before RallyX rules. I'm assuming on some level they are related as the sports do share some competitors (although maybe not the cars themselves).
Either way, it makes plenty sense and I'm happy to see it there.
