Duplicolor doesn't offer this color, some others do but at $25 or more per can I'm not sure I see the value in it. I have some spare body parts that I can haul into the store to find a match. Do any of you know of a rattle can that is close. Parked next to my white Buick the BMW looks to have a hind of cream and blue in it. Just like when my Maltese goes out in the fresh snow, she looks not white anymore.
This is for my kids $500 2002 X5 that just received a black fender, hood and fascia after a crash. Need to keep it under gambler cost.
"This is for my kids $500 2002 X5" - I believe the correct matching rattle can is Rustoleum Appliance White.

That's some really durable paint. I have done steel wheels in the black, never chipped or scratched.
I prepped with sanding then wiping with alcohol, put it out in the sun for a couple of days.
I also used it to paint an air cleaner lid. That, I primed first, and the top coat didn't ever fully cure.
I used these guys for a spoiler on my Alpeinweiss e30 (older single stage). The match is perfect, the finish not so much and probably my fault.
I think I paid $20-25 for a can, but that was 5 or so years ago.

Weird to hear that it didn't cure. I don't know if I've ever used the Appliance Black before. I love the Appliance White and I wish they used that a few more colors were offered. I also hear there's a metallic gray that isn't really that good.
I'm pretty sure the formula for BMW Alpinweiss changed a couple times over the years so be aware of that if you buy paint that's supposed to match (I have a whie e30, I think it's not the same shade of white as some of the newer BMWs.)
In reply to stuart in mn :
The "300" determines what Alpinweiss he has.
Even within the e30s it changed. Early e30s up to '87 had Alpinweiss and late e30s had Alpineweiss 2. The late might have even had clear coat.
My local Napa store custom mixes rattle cans per VIN, Mfr paint code or they hit it with a magic light. I believe it was done once on a GRM Project. Check locally.

Another vote for this place, have used them a couple of times.
I reached out to my local NAPA and talked to the paint guy. A fender should take two rattle cans to cover. Factory Alpine Weiss (white) is $40 + $14 for the two cans, total $54. Hardener is in the can. #300 is the actual paint code.
If you wanted Poly for a shinier finish, two cans ready to go is $107.88 You still have to do clear and I don't know if the same clear is used on both. If you can't get it done local lemme know, I can get it done and sent to you, not USPS.

I'm in PA. I run an automotive paint supply house/store and we can make rattle cans off a paint code. Let me check that code/color when I get to work in the am.
Thanks all.
It's starting to act like spring around here so maybe it will change color soon. I drove it to work the last two days, after repairs it needs a fog light bulb. Before I worry about paint it desperately needs rear sub-frame bushings, big squeaky clunk back there.
As mentioned, almost any paint store can match paint and put it in a rattle can. A bit expensive at about $25 a can, but still way cheaper than a body shop.
