I have $100 in Amazon gift cards from work. I need suggestions for spending it. Books are best, movies would work, automotive related is the idea (most non-media things become cost prohibitive to send to Hungary).
Fiction or Non-Fiction suggestions are both welcome.
I had planned to buy a book on Turbocharging, Welding, and Autobody/paint before I got the gift cards, so ideas along those lines are welcome.
I'm hoping to place the order on Friday.

Rob R.
Cannonball by Brock Yates.
I just ordered The Unfair Advantage, Mark Donahue.

I already own "Art of Racing in the Rain" (awesome book!) and "The Unfair Advantage" is going on the list. I've forgotten to add it more times than I can count.
For chassis design books I have one by Herb Adams the good ol "Costin and Phipps".
"Apathy..." and "Cannonball" are currently "under investigation".
Hustler? nah, we gots the interwebs now. Much gooder.
(Current total $21.62)
I need to get "unfair advantage" myself....
Strictly car stuff or other stuff, too?

I thought the documentary about Robert McNamara was quite good; it's called 'The Fog of War'. Deals a lot with WW2, Vietnam, and the Cuba Missile Crisis.
Got Gran Prix, Le Mans, and most of the Carroll Smith collection (missing "Drive to Win").
I don't have a lot of war stuff... hmmmmmmmm
I think "Shop Class as Soul Craft" was on my "I meant to, but forgot" list. Might have to give that another gander.
Maximum Boost added, "Shop Class" under serious consideration, still looking into the "Fog of War" (no pun intended)
Total @ $46.76
Prepare to Win, Tune to Win, Engineer to Win, Screw to Win, Drive to Win by Carroll Smith.
Think Fast by Neil Roberts.
Race Car Vehicle Dynamics by Milliken and Milliken (and Jim Hall and GM R&D and Milliken Research). The last one will blow the whole card.
Ross Bentley's Speed Secrets series of books are pretty good too.
dude, I thought "Pushing Ice" was going to be about Hockey...
Madscientist matts fuel injection book
the Midlana book (when its out...or is it? I dunno...)
Got Matt's book too :)
Speaking of which, I've been dying for a copy of the Kimini book, but it's always sold out or priced too high for my tastes (I'd prefer something closer to $30)
Well, that was quick! The winners are:
Cannonball
Maximum Boost
The Unfair Advantage
Drive to Win
Red Dwarf, "Backwards" (this is what came from Pushing Ice
)
One Good Run (another that's always been just a little more than what I wanted to spend)
Total $104.45
Thanks everyone. This should hold me over for another month or so.
