Looking for a source for a narrow leaf sprung straight front axle. Preferably 5 lug in gm/ford pattern for ease of cheap wheel selection. Don't care if I beam or round like a 2wd scout, but it has to be challenge friendly available price wise.
Trying to get some projects rolling in the form of do the chassis that it's going to have and mount body so i can just pull one "off the shelf" when i want to knock it out.
Two wheel drive xj Jeep? No drop center, and you would need to add leaf spring mounts, but it's the only one I can think of that's not sixty years old.
Maybe a postal jeep if you can find one.
Yea any 2wd jeep axles should work. They should most be disc brake and are just leaf sprung.
There was also a 2wd samurai with a leaf spring front axle, though cutting the ends off a 4wd one and welding a chunk of tubing in the center would be a lot easier than finding one of the 2wd ones.
What's a 2 wheel drive jeep?
We don't usually have those up here.
I have a 48 ford PU front axel it has about a 3 inch drop from the factory and I have both springs good king pins spindles look new,no brake or hubs but All steering except box, use a Vega.
