I am looking for a stock Del Sol seat to put in my Civic. I talked to a guy but he wants $260 for the pair. Is it just me or is that ridiculous and how much would you actually pay?

depends on the seat... its condition... and my NEED.....

Ideally... I'd say about $50 per seat typically

$30/seat is roughly what they cost from the U-Pull-It, so a bit more than that if it's something you can't readily find to pull yourself...

If we're talking something like heated power BMW sport seats $300+ a pair isn't unheard of. I wouldn't pay more than $100 for a Honda seat, though, unless it's something wild like an S2000 seat.

Welcome to dealing with your average Honda owners. He'll get $200-$250 out of those seats from some moron.

I'd actually pay about.... $17 each, according to my local junkyard.

del Sol seats don't exactly grow on trees, and figure the last one was built nearly 15 years ago. Last time I looked at buying some del Sol seats, I think that was the going rate. For what it's worth, they are nice and really do give the Civic a sporty feel. It sucks that the prices have remained up there. I wound up not buying a pair, though.

Time to look at Integra seats instead.

Integra seats sit up higher then the Del Sol seats though IIRC.

Oh that's right, and you're lanky as E36 M3.

I've wondered about what it would take to put a set of nice, all manual Porsche leather seats in my Mustang. eBay has them, and people want real cash for them, what's a logical price? Or are these too rare vs. a more common car like the Del Sol to get a decent rule of thumb price for a pair of these things?

Part of the draw is the tan leather that these sometimes come in, where as most aftermarket seats don't seem to be real leather and a shade of brown like my Mustang interior.

Yeah, del Sol seats do put you on the floor--very nice. They were one of those things I always wanted to put in my wife's Si and just never did.

Next time you go to Road America, I'll give you a set a fiero seats for free. They used to belong to Nocones, so they have GRM heritage.

Thats not that far out of line. They are ~$60 each at the junkyard here, but its rare to find a nice set of seats since all the good ones either get taken or have grease wiped all over them pretty quickly. Id probably offer more like $200 for the pair though.

Jesus.... we get Del Sols through the junkyard fairly often here... If you're up for a road trip, sit tight for 3-4 weeks and i'll get you a set for like $50 or something. I'm not shipping these bastards, though.

I also have two spare pairs of Mazda GD chassis seats. One MX6, one 626. They're comfy, don't remember how you fit in them when you were in my car, though.

Note to self: when in bone yard, be on the lookout for Del Sol seats = Profit!

Seriously if someone finds a driver's seat and I don't and brings them to the Mitty, I will gladly buy it.
