Like the title states, are there any decent quality 6pt harnesses available?
Still have quite a bit of stuff to buy to get the '90 Miata ready for the track, so I don't want to cut corners on safety, but I don't want to pay more than I have to.

Schroth sells a nice cheap 6 point harness, I think it's called the Club or something. Check it out at HMS Motorsport website...
You should do a bit of reading about 5 vs 6 points. I wish I could find the article, but the author made a very valid point that unless you can mount the two bottom straps reasonably, a 5 point will be just as (if not more) affective in restraining you and be more comfortable.
RCI sells a 6 point latch and link that goes for $70 at summit racing. SFI Cert for 2 years, and comes with a certificate for 1 free rewebbing so it's good for another 2 years. They just make you pay shipping both ways.
It's a 6 point good for 4 years of SFI Cert for $70, I have one in my dirt roundy-round car and i have no complaints.

Schroth Clubman - $199 at HMS.
I'm at the same point. Looking at that harness and the G Force Pro Series 6 point camlock on sale for $150 at SoloRacer as my cheap options. From there I'm looking at Schroth Profi II (2" lap belts, $350) or Sabelt 6 point camlocks (3" lap belts, $320). Not somewhere I want to cheap out, but I'm also considering going with the Clubman for the passenger/instructor seat and the Profi II for the driver's seat - any instructors want to comment on their feelings for that setup?
Can anyone tell me the real advantage of a 6-point over a 5-point beyond "more is better?"
I have two Crow 5-points that i bought to be somewhat temporary until i decide which cam-lock harnesses i want.
It all has to do with the mountig. If you mount the 6 point at the same point as your lap belt you will not be able to submarine out. A properly mounted 5 point (coming up through the seat base) will not be quite as effective in some circumstances ( lap belt not properly tightened ), but in my personal opinion this would be a pretty rare circumstance. I have see the 5 points with the sub strap in front of the seat base, but I would never reccomend mounting this way.
I realized HPDE's don't NEED long SFI ratings.
But a Schroth at 2 years for $200, or a Willans for 5 years for $300 from FM.
That they will be used in a convertible, so extra sun exposure, will they degrade more quickly? Or again, not really a big deal for HPDE?
I can get racequip stuff pretty cheap, they have really nice FIA 6 pt camlocks & really inexpensive 5 point latch / link

Gotcha. My seats have a sub strap slot.
I've found that the 6 point sub straps put less pressure on the cough "wedding tackle" as they go around the area rather than over it.
I believe top gear had stars test out a lap in a reasonably priced harness. They all died.

Cheaper than the $200 listed on their web page for an FIA 6 point camlock?

I'll elaborate on mine...
I haven't used them yet, but one set is new, another is used. (Probably dated, but it's for autox use ONLY.)
From what i understand, my used set was used in a baja truck for quite awhile, and was recommended to me by Jim Pierce. (Also happens to be the person that used it in said baja truck.)
The used set shows no signs of wear other than some dirt.
There's a few people on the Miata forums that have been using them, haven't seen any complaints.
The only reason i'm looking into replacements is because of the latch system. When i replace them, they'll probably find their way into my Celica or MX6.
