Recognize this Lotus 7 chassis? It's more than likely not an actual Lotus but who made it?
Any ideas?

It's not a Locost book chassis. Front end, side, back are different. It could be anything from home built/designed to any of a few hundred "replica" manufacturers.
Yeah, lord knows what that thing is. It's not a book Locost, it's not a Westfield, it's not a Caterham and it's not a Lotus.
I am not 'Lotus 7' proficient at all, but I am well versed in 'I gave ups' and that's one of those if I ever saw it.
As long as its not a caterham or an actual lotus, for that price, I am willing to leave it sit and rot in the weeds. I am not really close to it. Although it is tempting. Anyone recognize the rims?
^I LOVE those wheels.....
I have a thing for 3 and 4 spoke wheels. The wheels that GRM had on their project rat tuner EG hatch were HAWT.
Those aren't what's on the.... thing. Tough. The spokes on the ebay car don't flare at all when they meet the actual rim.
Offer about 1/2 the price and you'll have a very good start on the project.
someday again, I will try.
The current wheels say "old Toyota" to me, but I couldn't tell you what.
I just read the auction listing. Umm, yeah. Run away. It's been stored outside with holes in the frame tubes. For a long time based on the paint "quality". I would be hesitant to build upon that frame.
Yeah, I read the auction listing too. I'd say a hundred bucks if it was local, and that's just for the uprights and rear axle. Everything else is scrap.
I will build a locost one day.. soon.. but it will not be a Lotus replica.. I would love to build one into a lightweight glassfibre (or carbon) fiat 124 shell
