Buy I’m not about to lie about my liking certain vehicles because they look cool. Or wanting my vehicle to look “mean”. If that makes me shallow or not, I honestly couldn’t care less

My wife, God bless her, referring to the Taurus X, said “that doesn’t have the manly look that you deserve.”
I like the sentiment behind that statement at least.
Something my wife would say LoL!
I wonder if you could find an AWD Chrysler LX platform car (Magnum, Charger, or 300) in that price range? I've seen LX platform cars at that price here, but AWD versions are pretty rare in Atlanta.
Theoretically you can fit 5 people in a Subaru WRX or the SAAB 9-2X equivalent. That would certainly check the "as fun to drive as possible" box, but the back seat would be pretty cramped.
2006-2007 BMW 530xi wagon. Although MPG isn't the greatest (I avg around 22mpg), but it's pretty spacious and fun for a wagon.
If you'd prefer something faster, an 08-10 535xi wagon is a thing.
I have a '99 CRV I might sell soon. It's only about a 1k car, but it probably needs 5k worth of work. That's still under budget, right?
