Probably going to attempt to replace the strut cartridges/shocks in our 2000 Celica GT soon. Stock Toyota ones went soft at 40k miles and got replaced with TRD at 80k. Those went soft by 120k and are still on there at 173k. Don't really need adjustable, just want something that will perform decently and last more than 40k miles. Car is doing duty as my DD no autoX or track time planned, but I do appreciate good handling without a punishing ride. Plan to maintain stock springs and wish to keep ride height at or very near stock. Looks like Tokico HP's and Illumina's; KYB AGX's, GR-2's, and Excel-G's; and Monroe OESpectrum's are available for a 4 corners. Anyone got experience with any of these?
I have experience with both the Tokicos and the first two KYBs. The Illuminas are the best by a wide margin from a performance standpoint, and will still ride quite decent with stock springs.

Those are what I'd like, did you find someplace that has the rears? Looks to me like they are out of production and I couldn't find anybody with them in stock. The fronts are available at a bunch of places.
I didn't dig that deep...
When I need shocks for Grunt (my AE95 all-trac corolla sedan) I went to shox.com and spoke to one of their reps. The Bilsteins I wanted weren't available in the USA, so they came from Europe.
