Redneck or grassroots?

I saw this today and couldn't decide.

Gotta call that one redneck. Grassroots would be fixing the taillight, even if it means drilling a new hole in the back for a new bulb fixture

The wire ties had me leaning towards GrassRoots. I have to see the electrical connections inside to make the final call though.

now its a real jeep though.

I dunno, if it was done with parts on the shelf, or done to meet an urgent need, it might be GRM.

If wire nuts were used as part of the install, it's redneck.

I should have taken the picture of the one i saw yesterday, rear quarter was smashed and screwed up where the lights mount. They black spray painted the spot missing paint (on a gold car) and screwed in a similar trailer light, and a small amber light to work as a turn signal. Totally permanent repair, completely redneck

This one is also redneck because they spent more on the trailer light than just getting a used light from the junkyard.

Did it come off an existing parts car/trailer in order to make it a week until the 1/4 list price light from eBay comes? Grassroots.

Is it attached with a trailer license plate bracket? If so, brilliant.

As a society, we should seek to move beyond lumping people into broad stereotypical groups like "redneck" and "grassroots" and just embrace the diversity of thought that various individuals bring to the solution of a problem.

Looks like add-on lights for a rig that gets towed behind a motorhome. I'd never do it that way myself, but it would save the owner from having to figure out how to go through the vehicles' electrical system.

The wisdom is undeniable, but it makes far too much sense to be in "say what?"

Permanent Fix: Redneck

That's ghetto. Grassroots is making repairs in a frugal, or improved-but-not-expensive manner. That's just somebody that doesn't want to fix it the right way.
