It was a happy day for me as a 14 year old back in the 60s when I got a for real STP sticker. Hate to admit I still have it in my sticker collection. Recently got a Rat Fink sticker, a few sew-on's and some Rat Fink t-shirts. Amazing the number of old car guys that notice the shirt and start a conversation about cars from their Wonder years. Most folks don't have a clue.
I've got stacks of stickers that I've collected over the years. A bunch found their way to my tool boxes, but I've got at least three times as many laying around in drawers.
This is the only sticker I have ver put on a car.

Almost forgot about Rat Fink. Yeah, those were actual manufacturer stickers back then.

Been a long time for major rides. Used to do Laconia, Myrtle Beach, Daytona. Only once did Americade, that was enough. Never made it to Sturgis, at the time didn't have enough vacation time, or money. Now I have plenty of time, but no desire. About 15,000 on it since the rebuild.

Be honest with you Nick, haven't put a decal on a car since I was a kid. But somehow, this one just feels right.
My favorite was the Thrush muffler decal. I recall going to car shows as kid and picking up decals from booth vendors.
I also had one that was from AC Delco Spark Plugs "Hot Car for a Cool Cat" that gathered attention.
And who here still has a box containing those old stickers? *raises hand*
Well I don't have the box, but I still have the drawer face from my old dresser, from when I was a kid, that is loaded with decals.
The inside of my toolbox lid.
"Vintage" stuff here!

I had the honor of buying a Rat Fink T-shirt and sticker right from Big Daddy himself. He was appearing at a local car show a few years before he passed,

I wonder if it's true that decals make things work better. I know back in the day, a Thrush muffler and window decals seemed to make my 62 Ford Falcon run better.
Kids young and old still like stickers! Here's my nephew Liam, showing off the stickers I sent him after SEMA, and then there is my file cabinet in my GRM office:

I remember my adolescent days of writing letters to all the the motocross parts and apparel companies to get stickers. Too bad I actually stuck them to random things at the time. Could probably sell the retro 80's stickers to hipsters for profit now.
I currently have E36 M3 tons of automotive stickers from purchased products that I have no use for. Well other than throwing them on my shop mini-fridge.
My boy likes to collect stickers from car shows, so it's still a thing.
I have collected a few racing and vacation stickers
I love logo art. Will kill time browsing the internet for obsolete ones in particular (The company doesn't exist). If nobody sells the stickers, I've been known to print a few myself - never for profit, in case somebody still owns rights.

Is that Jack Roush's hat??

No such luck, just keeps my balding noggin from getting burned doing yard work. I also like those bamboo calenders from Chinese restaurants. It was a sad day when we went to our last dinner at Palace of Wong before they closed.
