Not sure I agree with starting the car with the old oil, even if you have a good idea on the condition of that oil. I suggest draining it. Then allowing plenty of time to drain, add a quart of new oil with the drain open. It is a partial flush to get rid of any acids or water that formed. Cheap insurance. Then proceed with the prime, and run.
So, you're saying I should refrain from a giant tire melting burnie straight out of the garage????
