The PO installed the salve cylinder pin back-asswards on swmbo's rx7. Damn thing is stuck the the realease fork. How should we go about removal?
How the heck did they manage that?
Unbolt the slave cylinder, swing it up and out of the way (easy if carbureted, not so much if EFI) and then try to get in there with a pair of Channel-Locks and try to push it back through the fork.
Key is that you don't want to pull the fork forward and pop it off of its pivot. If you do that, it can come unclipped from the throwout bearing. On the bright side, if that does happen, you can work with the release fork on the bench because you'll have to pull the trans to put it back together again.
