The power to weight ratio won't make it fast, but its better than my '88 CRX-si, and that car is a lot of fun to drive.

Export version looks to be 8 inches wider and 6 inches longer.

Wonder how much weight that adds.

Hope hard top is removable, and is priced under $30,000.

Guessing tuners will easily get 130hp to the wheels and weight with a 150 lb driver under 2100lbs.

Looks like a good formula for a mini Lotus Elise.

Remember it's turbo so expect a similar torque output to the Ford one liter, 148 ft lbs. Also, it won't take long for the boost to be cranked and the hp to go up a fair bit. The MR2 Spyder with 140 and no torque is likely slower than this and still a ton of fun.

This is almost as cool as an AW11 and will perform better. Sucks that I won't be able to afford one, hopefully a friend will buy one and I can borrow it

All true, I guess my only concern is that in this part of the West, on a road trip you will end up behind a long line of trucks and campers. There may not be many stretches that you can pass said line of vehicles before the next section of twisties. When it's time to crank it up past 55, you need to get significantly above 55 pretty quickly. It's the reason I just couldn't live with my '96 Miata and that I love my C6.

I had an 84 CRX 1.5 and it was a really fun car with good cargo capacity. A 2nd gen Si would have been much better for me and I probably would have kept it longer.

Well my CRX, when stock had a weight to power ratio of 19.4, is FWD, and was still a blast to drive. This car may have a ratio of around 15-16:1 and is mid-engined. Combine that with what I would hope are even better driving characteristics, and this car could be a lot of fun. Then up the boost......

Looks like a tarted up first gen MR2. I like the concept, but not the execution. Next.

Love the idea. Hate the cartoon styling. What's up with Honda making all their "performance" cars look like they were designed by a ten-year-old who likes Lamborghini Countachs and giant blind spots?

Honda: You designed a beautiful car a decade+ ago called the S2000. Take that design, put a fastback on it, and I'll be first in line to buy.

While the Miata and FRs were both lust at first sight, and I had to have them, the Honda leaves me cold. I will have to wait and see what the dynamics have to say.

Think of it less as a sports car, and more as Honda's answer to the Smartcar, Scion IQ, etc. It's a city car that happens to be sporty. It's got the same HP as a Cruze and weighs 1100lbs less.
