Before I get flamed for posting something that has already been covered: I have run a search and come back with a handful of info and still some lingering questions.
I am looking for a 245/40/R18 tire for my 2003 350Z. It's a daily driver that I don't flog on too much anymore (trying to get into law enforcement... trying to keep the tickets down). I need a cheap, decent grip tire that won't pop at top end (140-160 mph). I just found out that Edge Racing went under, which completely turns my world upside down. :/ I've order my last 4 sets of rubber from them. Anyways, are there any local retailers in South FL you would recommend? (I live in Broward County)
My online list of Retailers thus far (GRM Search):
1010 Tires
Online Tires
The Tire Shoppe
Vulcan Tire
My local list thus far:
Nobody :[
Secondly, I need to order some tranny and diff fluid for the Z-car. Any recommendations on that front? I remember ordering from Summit and AJUSA in the past, but can't really think of other any reliable online retailers.
Thank you in advance,
Gus
Discount tire direct, The Tire Rack.
i dont know as far as fluids, i usually can get whatever i need locally. if you want Redline or something like that try Pegasus.
http://www.tirerack.com/ (103 different listings in your size)
http://www.discounttiredirect.com/direct/home.do (59 listings in your size)
http://www.pegasusautoracing.com/ (redline dealer)
I have purchased from all of these companies and will reccomend them.
Redline fluids. You'll have to mix and match to get something close to the recomended viscosity (I can't remember what it is but its something oddball). make sure whatever you get is the correct rating (I think the trans requires GL-4 not GL-5).
On tires; I get everything from the Tire Rack.
One of the nice things about these forums is you won't get flamed for asking a dumb the question. The worst you will get is someone reminding you about the search button, or posting some searches of their own.
Summit carries Redline. Tire Rack seems to be the goto tire source around here, with a couple exceptions for brands they do not carry.

Wheelfire.com is down there. I have spoken to them and they seem like good peoples. They offer a good deal of non mainstream tire makes as well.

Thats what they have listed. They are located in Ft. Lauderdale.
