That Buick could replace my 5...

In Europe you can get it without the cladding:

Why are all the major utility van manufacturers on a race to the bottom of how ugly they can make their vehicles? And that's even one of the better looking ones.
I can't say that the old econolines were all that pretty to begin with
In reply to Trackmouse :
Uhh, a lot of rear overhang goes with the territory of a station wagon. If it didn't have that overhang it would be a hatchback. (uh oh, don't tell Nick!)
@RossD: Good point.
I was thinking about the prices after Woody said 'nope' at the $48k for the Ford passenger 'wagon'. You can get a Expedition starting at $51k, a Tahoe starts at $47k and a Suburban at $50k. Startling. For fun I started optioning all the big ticket stuff for a Suburban and broke $80k.
The Volvo V90 T6 AWD starts at $56k. And the Buick website still shows their wagon as a Future Model so no pricing posted there.
I found the dealer price on the Ford Van at $41.6k. $4k cash back available too.

There is a difference between "utilitarian" and "actively ugly".
In reply to Duke :
Yeah, what the heck is up with the Promaster? It's like they said, how can we make this as ugly as possible?
Oof!
The new Proceed concept that Kia just unveiled in Geneva is sublime. If that car was on the market I'd put my dollars down right now.

That thing is gorgeous. I built a V90 and it came out almost $60K but man is is sexy.
Trackmouse said:Needs shorter overhangs. It’s got Too much nose and ass. Just like a model with those same attributes. 9/10 would not bang.
There's a V60 if you don't want the overhangs. The Polestar version is dressed to impress.
In reply to xflowgolf :
I love the V60 Polestar but it looks more like a slightly strectched hatchback than a wagon.
The CLS shooting brake we don't even get here on the other had...
I need a minute.

Hey man, I like my cars like I like my women... Did you never visit the GGA thread? LOL

I don't think the overhang on the front is too different from the Sedan. The rear of the Wagon is a little longer than the sedan, but not by much, I bet it is the bulk of the rear that makes it look longer.
I'm not seeing too much overhang on the V90, either. Having just spent a bunch of time in Volvo showrooms, I'll say the S90 is a damned handsome car in person - particularly by current styling standards. If I was looking for a car that big I would definitely drive it. As it is I'll probably be seriously considering V60s in about 3 years.
$52,590 MSRP for my configured V90. One thing I wish is that you could get a tan interior instead of only black, though.
