Does anyone know if there is a rev limiter on a 1996 Honda Civic DX? If there is at what RPM is it at? And also where do you hook up a shift light on the same car?

There's a fuel cut out, if I remember correctly. I had my '89 DX "stutter" a few times when I got it really moving in lower gears. My '92 CX with the LS Integra engine/tranny...never did that, tho I had a tach on that car so I wouldn't try to overrev it. It would do an INDICATED 60 mph in 2nd, no problem, and I had it up to over 120 (indicated) in 5th, at LESS than 5000 rpm.

Honda-Acura.net is a good website for H-A tech questions.

My 94 CX (obd 1) cuts out at 6500rpm. I believe 96+ is obd2 though...

7200 according to that.

My '90 DX (90hp D15B2) had a limiter at an indicated 7200rpm also. With a D16Z6 motor/ECU my tach indicated around 7600rpm before cutting fuel but apparently it's actually set to 7450rpm in the ECU.
