Spotted this beauty at the Local U-Pull yesterday:
Seeing it made me laugh a little. This car has a little bit of local history. Back in my high school days a very very poor family from a small town near here won the Lottery. I am pretty sure this is the remains of one of their first purchases. Anyone want a great deal on a widebody Mercedes kit? 
That car needs to be filled with concrete and pushed off a barge.
A little bit of modification to the body kit, new wheels and black paint and that would be awesome.
What, no continental kit hanging off the rear bumper?

The wheels were something else. Looked to be about 12" wide in the rear with something like 325/35/15 tires on them. Oh yeah, center mount to boot.
It still has all-4 wheels? Those look like they'd be worth something....to someone....somewhere....else.

Nope-1 missing! Knowing that junkyard, its hidden in the trunk of some car on the far side of the yard while the guy who wants them scrounges up some cash.
I'm thinking the body kit will be gone by the next time I go. Can't wait to see the results of that find driving around town.

I also see the potential here, but I think it's just because we all know a flared Benz on nice wheels can look awesome. This particular example could be fixed... with a TOW missile.
Heck, If I didn't have soooo many projects I would be really tempted to grab all the parts, hunt down an old Merc and make a really amusing track rat. Flat black with the gold spoke wheels and really dark tint would make me giggle every time I looked at it.
This is evidence that box flares do NOT make everything awesomer....and it should die because of this.

Anyway, the sad thing is as soon as I saw the pic I remembered the thread and thought it was from earlier this year. When I was the date and found it was 3 1/2 years ago I was shocked and feel old

Holy crap me too. Your post is what made me realize this forum has eaten 3 1/2 years of my life and made it feel like 6 months. Not sure if that's good or bad.
You should try and find all the wheels with adaptors and grab them to sell.
I'll telling you guys pimp sells! I scored a continental kit at the local you pull it for $10, it was in fair condition at best, and sold it on ebay for 400 plus shipping. I was shocked as I just bought the thing to hang on my garage wall as a joke. Now I buy all the crap like that I can find...just recently scored another continental kit for $60 to resell. The gold "rolls Royce" style grills sell well too.
