Very interesting, nice to know that they're good off road. Wonder how these would do in the Baja 1000 or Dakar.

Spectacularly... If they can get charged. The Long Way Up crew used them as support vehicles from Patagonia to LA... And they did this with preproduction vehicles.
They had to build a charging network to do it.
From what I've seen, they're spectacular off-road. They can vary the torque to each individual wheel based on what it's doing, axle droop/weight balance, etc.
I haven't gotten to try one myself..
