Road-Trip 2011 -- FL to AZ in an '88 Fiero Formula

in a few days, a longtime friend of mine is shoving off in his '88 fiero formula for an epic journey West, from Naples FL to Lake Havasu AZ. we met in detention in 10th grade back in 1981. my dad had a corvair window van and his dad had a corvair panel van, which probably explains a lot.

anyway, i don't know the exact route yet but it's probably I-75 N to I-10 W pretty much the whole way.

anyone along the route care to volunteer their contact info, capabilities (hoist, air, beer), etc? he's more than competent at roadside kluges, but it's always nice to have a safety net.

i suggested that he join the board but preparation for the trip might prevent him from doing so.

That sounds absolutely scary and epic at the same time. I'd offer my resources, but I am precisely the opposite side of anywhere he's going.

I mad e a trip from Los Angeles to Windsor, Mo in my 88 Duke Fiero. Bought the car from a salvage yard, tossed in plugs and wires, and changed the injector a couple weeks before the drive. Made it fine. I wish him the same safe travels as I had!

Plus I love the Fiero and the drive was a pleasure for me.
