Loaded up and headed to Huntsville, AL for Thanksgiving. My wife's brother lives there and her mother is already there.
Im in the back seat with baby while my wife drives the first leg.
We decided to take my MILs '13 Ford Escape SEL rather than my wife's' 10 Mazda5 Sport. I actually think the Escape has slightly less usable space, especially in the trunk. But, no issue since we borrowed from a friend a super sized rooftop box.
Unfortunately the Q45 would not have been big enough.

Best of luck, hope traffic is minimal for you. We're making the run to St. Louis- google estimates 13.5-15.5 hours
Heading down to the beach to be with SWMBO for a long weekend. Leaving late tonight/very early tomorrow. Have the detector mounted/concealed, the Escort Live ap and the Waze ap. Hope to keep a steady 80mph and make it under 12-hours again for the ~820 miles.
Decided to forgo the Thankgiving trek to Pensacola this year. We're staying local and I'm SOOO pleased to not be driving 650 miles each way. In the Suburban. With 4 kids.
We might enjoy the weekend a bit, maybe play a board game or take in a movie.

Whadya mean "the Q45 would not have been big enough"? I traveled with two kids and we had a Pontiac 6000 back in the day. Cute kid, BTW.
Im not looking forward too the hour drive to my dads. I hate holiday traveling. Too many cops and brain dead travelers for me.
No long drives for me over the next few days. Probably driving 25 miles to mrs. dx's family for dinner tomorrow and i'll be driving to work Friday and Saturday but that's about it.

Met vwcorvette a couple hours ago and passed along v8 astro motor mounts for his hopeful $2016 build
61 degrees in Baltimore today, the top will be down on the ND.
72 here on the beach. Made the 820-mile trip in 11.5 hours. The Escort Smartradar already paid for its self too.

And I thank you. Drove nearly 700 miles from Vermont. Not the first time I've picked up parts in the Detroit area while on vacation. Got a set of Vette sawblades for $50 years ago.

Drove from Akron, OH to NYC. 6.5 hrs with one stop...surprisingly little traffic getting in on Wednesday night. Tomorrow's return trip might be a bit rougher...
My family all came to us, which is both good and bad. Hard to escape the drama when it's all at your house. My total driving was under 20 miles; 6 miles to a friend's house to pick up an engine hoist, and to HF to get an engine stand.
My son put 60 miles on his car this week driving errands to places under 3 miles away .
JAhmed, my parents left today for MA, probably same route as you (I-80) trying to avoid tomorrow's traffic.

bah. i have 3 or 4, you could have borrowed one.
We left for our holiday trip Thanksgiving morning. When I started the engine that morning, the dash display said 344 miles until empty. At the same time, the GPS said it was exactly 344 miles to my parents' house.
Since the last 90 minutes of the trip is through the middle of no where, we did stop and gas up. Other than that, uneventful trip. Very, very light traffic.
