Had a chance to converse through email once, he was very polite and knowledgeable.  RIP Miller.

You sure you had the right guy? laugh

Robin was one of a kind. I'll always be thankful for him being willing to stand up to Tony George during The Split. He knew everyone and everything in that sport, and he will be missed.

A huge loss to racing journalism, nobody was a more passionate fan/reporter of Indycar than Robin.  He will be sorely missed.  Every Wednesday the first thing I did was check out Miller's Mailbag.  Godspeed, Robin.

RIP Robin, cheers to a life well lived.

While it's always sad when someone passes, especially at what is by todays standards relatively early, but ob the upside the guy lead a full life.  He got to live and work his passion for 53 years, anyone who gets to do that has had a wonderful life.  He'll be missed by many, me certainly included in that.  He had such a lovely way with words.  There are other Indy car reporters out there, but non with the writing ability and bona fides he has built up over the decades.

HE may not have drank, but I'll raise one to him tonight.

Was glad to hear AJ Allmendinger dedicate his Indy road course win to Robin during his post race interview.

Great write up by MP  RPM 2night was one of my favorite shows and when ever he was on windtunnel you better buckle up. I have always been a sports fan, but RM was one of a kind nobody was as passionate as he was about indycar. He was never afraid to ask, tell, or deal the tough questions. Even when people would be mad, fire him, or threw a craftsman tool at him, he never wavered. Every Journalist should have to take a class on his style.

I recall back in 2006 RM seemed to have a bit of a man crush on Dinger and viewed him as the shining hope for Champcar and open wheel racing in general.

Rip robin his passing is extremely sad day for motor sports in general. Not only a huge  fan robin raced usac midgets for 15 years. I got to meet robin a couple of times here in Edmonton at the champ car and Indy car races.
