First year to attend, and I'm not well versed in the various classes, teams, and drivers.
I think a basic overview could add to my enjoyment of the event. Any suggestions?

For class information:

For teams and drivers (organized by alphabetical order instead of class, dunno why), its missing some drivers that are going to be competing in the R24 since they are last minute announcements.

theres also the michelin pilot challenge support series that has a 4 hour enduro on friday:

Last year we also had ferrari challenge and lamborghini super trofeo as well but i dont see them on the schedule for this year.
You can get the WeatherTech class rundown at the IMSA site, too.
This is also the first year that all cars are homologated. No more shop-built cars.
And tonight we'll feature one of those homologated cars on our live TV show, the eEuroparts TCR Audi. Should be cool.
There are also printed guides at the races usually and the online ones at http://www.spotterguides.com/portfolio/18_imsa/
Yup, they will have guides there showing each team, their car (colors, logos, etc.), list of drivers, etc.
I would also recommend a pair of headphones to listen to IMSA radio, helps to know what is going on. We got some a couple years back and they have been a great investment.
