Around here (Oshawa), I can usually go for weeks without seeing an RX8. Tonight on a trip back from Toronto (about an hour) I saw four: one red, one black, one in a beautiful dark copper colour, and one in some kind of Fire Department Survival Yellow.
So what's going on: pure happenstance, or are all the RX8s getting together and proving that they still run before somebody mentions the words "LS swap"?
Probably a local meet. Us rotards like to stick together since we don't sit at the cool V-8 kids' table.
Sorry, I think I unintentionally misled you: they weren't together, and they weren't even on the same highways or going the same directions. They just all decided to improve my part of the space-time continuum tonight.
It's a revolution! Someday all cars will have a rotary engine.
Wait.... It's still 1972, isn't it?
I see literally 15 of these things a day. It's an epidemic around these parts. There are quite a few of them modified here, too. Say what you want about them, but the way they look, and the way they sound is more than enough for me to want one, strange powerband, bad mpg, and oil burning be damned.
the only thing I do not care for with then RX8 is that aweful rear window.
If I wanted one.. it would have to be in black so I could tint that rear window into nothingness
The 2 things that I do not like on my RX8 are the fuel consumption and the rear visibility.
