Video quality sucks but....

I watched this one right afterward, and it nearly brought a tear to my eye...
I loved my stock '85 RX-7 but didn't drive it much before selling it.
Drove a half-bridge 13B FB last year
Drove a full bridge 13B FB last weekend
Thanks Knurled!
How dare you make a rotary thread without this 4-rotor FD video!
Aww man, I need new pants again.

While I miss having a V8 in the stable, I truly regret letting my FD go..
When I get home from work thats exactly what I'm doing and an "oil" change I say "oil" because it is quite gassy...
In the original video, at the end, did you notice the cop following behind him?
I'm wondering if Mazda insisted on the escort for safety, or if the police were just hoping he'd do something rash so they could earn some money.

Threads like this are part of why at least one of the next three cars I own will be rotary powered.
Good lord.
20 years on, still the only Japanese marque to win Le Mans. Take her out, Johnny.

In reply to friedgreencorrado:
it was then banned for unfair weight advantage, rotaries have not returned since.
I've always thought 4-rotors were the definition of "Shut up and take my money!"
In more ways than one. Think about it- hella expensive to buy/build, even more expensive to keep the gas/oil full, and yet more expensive to keep an ear doctor on retainer to keep you from going deaf. On the other hand, it's totally worth it.

6 rotors? Why didn't they just make 5 faster?

Expensive compared to what? A pulling diesel? Heads-up V8 drag racer?
Compared to those, a 4 rotor is CHEAP. And for the cost of those, you could have TWO 4 rotors.

But this one goes to 11.
I know we're going up in number, but why not drop it back a few notches.
This vid is as old as the Internet, but it's always fun to watch.

I got some pretty good results by typing "Brap Brap Brap" into youtube. None of them rotary related though.
