That camera appears to have been made by Timex, considering it is still working at the end of the clip. The mounting may need to be buffed out a bit.
I see another cracker jack box license winner. Didn't help the chassis was setup wrong, lined up crooked, or failing to follow the first rule in drag racing.

I'm looking outside and up. I see blue with white clouds. What's it like where you are?
one of the commentators made a decent observation. She started off nice and strait and made it past the 60 foot mark going straight.. what made the sudden turn to the left?
In reply to mad_machine:
She started the pass off drifting to the right then jerked the wheel left to correct which led to overcorrection and failure to let off the loud pedal or doing a short shift which then made the car a giant kite.
0.05 seond mark right side drops. Look at top of front fender. It is poking out as if something bad happened.
Nothing broke.
It's a 4 second drag car. Stuff happens. FAST.
She lost her line, and should have lifted. She didn't have enough experience to know when it is time to lift.
Driver error. And a great deal of good fortune.

This. Along with my personal opinion that if it's her first season of racing, like the article says, she should have been in a slower car.
I did catch in the article that this is her first year... I do not know about any of you.. but I would have started my drag career in a MUCH slower car
"While this is Musi’s first full season in the ADRL, she began her racing adventure at age eight in a Junior Dragster. She works full time with her father, who has competed and won in the NHRA Pro Stock, IHRA Pro Mod, NHRA Pro Mod and street car ranks."
Yes, this is her 1st year in this car but she's not a novice to the sport.
Check the specs and rules on Jr dragsters.
They have a top speed of 85 mph, and are only open to students from 8 to 17, with a max 1/8 mile time of 7.90.
She's 21- that means she hasn't driven AT ALL for 3 years, and never drove a vehicle faster than 85 mph.
That makes her a novice driver. Period. There is no comparison between Jr Dragster and a 4 second drag car.
This was WAAY out of her league, regardless of who her father was.
Driver error. Mixed with a heavy dose of Daddy error.
I know now to always let up if you get out of the groove. I almost lost a 12 second car that way, so I know in a car that fast, you let off.
It doesn't say she hasn't driven anything but Jr Dragsters, it says she began with them. You're making conclusions with insufficient data.

I did some looking up and according to what I saw, the last car she ran was a Jr Dragster.

... Okay, yeah. That's pretty damned stupid.
What's odd is the sensation of the the camera not getting out of the way. You know as if a cameraman was trying to save his life. Strange.

You sure of that?
I am not the one who concluded she is not a novice.
Seems to me that the person who concluded she was not a novice should have been able to show some record of other racing.
I stand by my observation.

Did she really blame the car for getting sideways in a burnout?
