I am going through my buell and found that some of the tie bar isolator bushings are shot. I would like to just replace the bushing instead of the whole tie arm.

The bushing is cylindrical with an inside diameter of 3/8 and outside diameter of 3/4. The inside of the bushing is sleaved with a piece of metal. Basically the bushing fits into the tie bar end where a 3/8 bolt goes through it. The rubber dampens the engine vibrations which the buell has plenty of.

Anyone know where to find a 3/8ID v 3/4OD either rubber or poly bushing?

Make one? If it dampens vibration (I've ridden my brother's Thunderbolt) go for factory stuff. You don't want to find out five years from now that your homemade delrin bushings killed your engine.

It's just me......

Those dimensions sound a lot like sway bar link or shock eye bushings although benz didn't mention width. Prothane or Energy Suspension could have something poly in that size. Prolly best to use factory stuff tho like 914 said.

I've had poly bushings made (poured in a mold) or lathe cut from poly rod stock. That size sounds like it should be fairly common, I'll check my rubberbabybuggybumpers bin (I save everything).
