I know about por15, and love it as long as its not on my hootus or in my beard. But thats not the answer im looking for.
Id like to use a rattle can product that works when i have the cars on the lift for service. Not something i have to brush on, or takes hours to do like por15.
Is there suce a thing that works? Im trying to extend their lives down here. Vans only got 90k on it, and the subaru is cool.
Look up The Project Farm guy. I feel like he did a segment on these. I seem to remember that surprisingly highly available Rustolium Rust Converter version scored well like 3rd but 1st in value.

This stuff seems good. I say that with reservations because everything here is wrecked with rust, this slows it down.

Here is a link with reviews on amazon.ca Looks like good stuff, I might grab some and give my Subaru a coating. Is it thin enough to spray with a garden sprayer?
Edit: looks way too thick for a garden sprayer so I ordered a cheap undercoating gun for it.

The Rustoleum Rust Restorer (on lift in screen shot) is my go to after using several on there list.
Does mead a top coat to slow down future rust, but makes a nice "rusty metal primer"
I always use Rust-Oleums rust reformer. I typically wire wheel/sand as much as I can, and then do rust reformer, rusty metal primer, and then paint. Probably overkill but that rusty metal primer is tough stuff.
This is the stuff I used and it worked REALLY well for me.
Not cheap.

Can vouch for the Rust-Oleum being pretty good.
I like the RustOleum too. I've been using that then following with their bed liner spray can (the hard stuff, not the rubbery stuff) for any place that's out of sight (since it's only black). The bed liner provides some nice protection from stones that get thrown up.
I also have gotten pretty liberal with the use of Fluid Film. If there was a Fluid Film car wash, I'd probably do it
