I am trying to find a restoretion shop for my 1970 beetle in Ohio. The car needs a floor in it. So far the closest shop I have found is in Pensilva I live in dayton. I dont think the wife would want to drive that far and back becouse we are driving out to Utah in july. My wife did say yes to doing the bugs floor. It will need bolth sides done with the heating channel as well.
Ask the guys at the Samba, they should be able to help you out with recommendations on good shops:

floors are VERY easy in bugs. Pop the body off of the floor pan and everything is right there. Only a few wires, fuel line, steering column, and about 32 bolts hold the two together

His name is Tom, and he is just west of Columbus.I've spoken with him a number of times, and he is a big VW enthusiast. He might be able to help you out.

Floors are easy, but he says heater channels too which require a bit more patience. Not tragic overall but not quite the slap em in and go process of the floors.
I agree with the Samba recommendation, they should point you in the right direction

For the record, I've done mine and I didn't think they were easy. Simple, yes, but tedious as hell. I also had to do the package tray in the back too, which was even more tedious. Easy or not, definitely not apartment material. If you are handy and had a friend with a shop and a few days, it's not hard to do yourself...just time consuming.

I need to do the package tray as well, but that will be anthor time.
BTW, I need a Beetle or Super Beetle car (with a crusty pan is OK)
