I am trying to replace the clutch master cylinder. To access the bolts holding it on the firewall the clutch pedal must be removed by disconnecting it at the c-clamp. How the heck do you get the c-clamp off?

Sorry I'm not more help, but I haven't done this on my FCs yet, either.

Is your car an FC? If so, I have a Hayne's manual that has a few walkthroughs the FSMs don't. I am at work right now, though, so I will have to get back to you later on that.

No need to remove any part of the pedal assembly to get the clutch master out. Just the two nuts on the long studs, and it will pull off of the firewall. It is a pain to get your body down there, but after you do that it is smooth sailing. I use an open end 12mm I think to get started, and then a deep socket with some extensions, and a swivel, and I am good to go. I can change one now in less that 30 minutes I bet.

The PITA is unthreading the pushrod from the clevis so you can access the top nut.

I am assuming you have an '84-85. '79-80 the dashboard is shaped differently and you can access it with a long wobble extension, I assume '81-83 is similar.
