I've seen a few YouTube videos that gave me the heebee-jeebees. The NC is lowered. So I would have to get it started upward from the sides with a floor jack, then place jack stands front and back. Then use a chunk of wood on the floor jack at the front cross member to raise the car high enough to get the wheel cribs underneath and set back down.

If I haven't died at that point, I then do the same with the wood and floor jack under the diff (which is the part that freaks me out the mostest).

any better ideas? (And don't say ez lift!)

I was going to say Quickjack :)

Put the jack under the control arm and jack the wheel up instead of the car. On the back, I think you'd want to put the jack at the bottom of the shock fork.

Do the cribs a later or two at a time. The wheels rotate, but won't roll off the cribs. You can pivot on them, one side at a time. Like a seesaw.

Not really that scary.

I wouldn't put a block under the diff. Im perfectly comfortable putting the floor jack directly under the diff. The diff sits nicely in the recess on top of the floor jack. Yes, I realize that theoretically I could damage the cover or the bolts hold it. I've done it hundreds of times, and never caused damage to any car.

Don't try to raise the entire height of the cribs in one lift. That would be a mistake.

I'm hoping you didn't nail your cribs together full height.

My NB is lowered. A lot.

I can still get a floor jack under the rockers, and lift both wheels 6" or 8" off the floor.

You should be able to lift one side, slip partial cribs under the wheels, do the other side, then work it front and rear.

I wouldn't use jackstands.

Check out what this guy is doing at 3:20.  If he can do that with a 30 foot long stone block, a car will be easy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-K7q20VzwVs

I've never felt unsafe, putting a block of wood under the rear differential, on top of the jack plate, of anything I've jacked up. Just be sure its good wood; I have used questionable wood (i.e. rotten/soft) and had the wood split. Still much safer than blocking the jack up! But I'm NEVER putting my body under it, till supported. Yes, I have had stuff fall while lifting, but only when I knew I was doing something a little sketchy, so it did not catch me by suprise. More often than not, even sketchy works fine. Just plan for what happens if the jack fails - and ya should be doing THAT 100% of the time, anyway.

Putting a jack under a unsprung part of the suspension is always to way to get a tire the highest off the ground, but not always the easiest to do. Often, I will jack up the body and support it, so I can get access to a suspension part that will lift the tire. I'm very rarely working under lowered stuff, so YMMV, but, just use the old adage "plan for the worst, while hoping for the best."
