Aside from the Alpine, I really like that Capri.
Whew! He's gone. I saw this post earlier, then another by him. Both were rude and negative. He really is in the wrong forum.
Thank you mods for keeping this a respectful place. We all don't have to agree on anything other that to be respectful.
In reply to DrBoost :
Agreed, and good riddance.
I don't necessarily disagree with his opinion, but his delivery was spectacularly bad. Shiny happy person of the year nominee for sure.
I wonder if European guys swoon over that anniversary Vette, the way we swoon over that Alpine? Sure most of us bag on C3 Corvettes, but they really are beautiful cars.
BTW, I was only just joking about the Vette at a European car meet, hence the smiley.

This. Of course we don't always all agree on stuff. But for the most part us regulars have a like for the weird/eccentric stuff.
No reason to act like that. Wow.
sad to say, I think he would have gotten the hint quickly just by how the other posters were acting towards him. We will never know if he had anything constructive to add to our little family, and that is a shame

What's the make believe? You're acting like a dbag, there are other ways of saying that you don't care for small euro cars without making yourself out to be a complete douche.
Get a grip

Some guy enjoy them. The ones I talked to like the bigger American cars, the full size boats are the ones they seem to swoon over. I glossed over those because I've seen them a bunch of times.
Mustangs are surprisingly popular as well, oh and so are 'arely dah-veed-sons' their pronunciation of harely Davidson makes my day

Look at some of his other posts in other threads. Even at his best he was condescending and rude and had been warned by the mods well before this thread.
In fact I'm not entirely convinced that wasn't a troll account, but alas. Back do discussion of cool Euro classics.
Hey what's the popsicle colored winged thingy hiding behind the Capri (my fave)?
TTIAT .......so much hate Bu Bye Ahat........
So many cool cars...! I like that people are wandering around with beers, in proper glasses. Here in the US we're so uptight about alcohol that at most events like this (unless they're huge festivals of some sort) you will not see any alcohol.
@759NRNG - I think that's a BMW 2002 Touring.

Yeah, me too. After the Powerball win, I will own a Unimog.
Those are two 2002 one is orange and the other is multi colored with a wing.
I may be wrong but I think you all are calling the escort rs a Capri? Unless you're talking about the other capris there.
Edit: I'm dumb, it's a Capri

May I turn your attention to This Unimog Thread
in ADVRider, then...
He also has an older thread with a Vanagon Syncro Westfalia build, with similar attention to detail.
I just love seeing the cool stuff that we rarely see here, or only get in a very diluted form. When I went to Italy several years ago, we happened upon a similar show a block from the hotel the day we arrived.
