I for one think it looks pretty good, enjoy!

Looks like a good waste of time, money, and energy. Mostly buzz bombs with fart cans, time for this crap to get over itself.
I'm disappointed by the lack of stanced audis and vw's with rusty hoods, stretched tires, and unused roof racks

Not sure if there is sarcasm or not?

Lol I don't see why there would be?
For a point of reference this get together happened in the town of kirkel near the Deutsch and French border at an event called (iirc) oldtimerteile-fruende. That translates very roughly to old car friends.
It's basically a classic car meet, not a stance meet, with old guys that show off their lifes work. It's typically cars that these guys dreamed of in highschool, and there was more American cars there than I thought there would be. Pontiac Boneville, Impala, Pontiacs version of the Bel air, old 80's Cadillac that some guy put fins on (LOL) and a cobra. I was more interested in the manta GSI, 2002's, tanaus, Fiat 500's (original) and other old euro trash. E36 M3 was cool to see

No sarcasm at all, you asked for "opinions" and you got mine. No interest or appreciation at all for little antique imports with buzzy engines and annoying "Monza" exhaust, even less interest in old men's high school dreams. You asked, you got truth. You want sarcasm, let's talk about Hillary's pants suits.
Lol I am surprised as well, I was talking with a few of them. My suspicions were true, because of rust and TUV many cars are scrapped. It's sad but according to him it's what happens, they import Opel GT from the US. Two reasons, one I already mentioned and the other was that most GTs were sent to the States, a German GT is something to be proud of.
Did I mention that they love American cars? One of them was obsessed with big block cars, diesel brothers, gas monkey garage and some moon shine show.
Didn't catch the sarcasm, I appreciate the joke now LOL
The Renault Alpines are a dream car to me, but I'm not sure I would fit in anything older than an A610. I'm 6'3", I've heard the A110's roof is somewhere between knee and waist height for me...they make 13" wheels look huge!
In reply to pointofdeparture :
It barely crested my knee, probably my favorite car there. Never seen one before, though that could be said about a few cars there.

Wrong, I'm on exactly the RIGHT forum, you must have mistaken this for the, "I agree with you totally!" forum. That one's right next to the ice cream and snowflake forums just down the hall. Third door on the right. This forum is where the grown-ups get to voice their own opinions and don't always agree. Surprise !

What's that pretty red thing behind the VW camper rabbit? I feel like I recognize it but can't place it.
That sure does make the Opel GT I saw yesterday not look as special.
