The back end is too tall for my liking, but I think it's one of those designs that will grow on people.
That's been my complaint for the whole time of the present model, but I saw a movie with the car featured in it running down a dirt road. Once you saw the airflow you saw that it worked. For me functional trumps pretty any day.

I am wondering the same thing. I am not a Corvette guy and frankly less than thrilled with the back end but I think the overall quality of GM products, especially the Corvette is likely much better these days.

Um, my berkeleying spidey senses. Is English a second language for you?
I understand that all the vents are supposed to be functional, but they don't look well integrated. A Ferrari, Lamborghini, or Porsche look like car was designed with them. The new Vette looks like the shape was designed, then the vents were added where needed.
Oooooh, I get it. This is the part where I'm a "GM HAAADUUURR." Fwiw, I'm seriously considering a C5 Z06. But whatever.
I also saw it at Detroit and was very disappointed in the finished result. Fussy, Busy, to many angles and too much going on.
It's probably fast as hell though
Full disclosure, I am a Ford fanboy, but I have loved every version of Corvette except the new C7.
It kinda puts me to mind of the GTR. I'm sure it offers amazing performance, and I wouldn't mind owning one, but I sure don't want to stare at the thing.

I saw a black one merge on I-94 in the Chelsea area. At first I didn't know what it was, anyway I always see some sort of M-plate cars (manufacture) on I-94 so I figured it was something new.
I chased it in my 63 HP Miata and was a bit disappointed when I figured out what it was.
I'll probably buy one on CL when then get to $500.00 or less.

My GM engineer buddy says the fit and finish is quite good.
Here's to hoping.
(Now here is where everyone get's to jump on board and say if he doesn't come to your house and personally explain why it is the way it is, he is wrong and his work, degree, and professional career doesn't count for E36 M3.)

I haven't seen one in person yet, but I like it in the pics. I absolutely loved the c6 z06 and zr1 styling.
while I like the overall design of the new vette.. and unlike many, instantly recognize it as a vette, I too find the details far to fussy.
Taken as a whole, it is very nice, but once you start taking it apart visially, a lot of the design language does not interact well. It's almost like Lamborghini's designers decided to build a vette after looking at a ferrari.
I've never wanted a red Vette. GM reds suck the sweat of a dead pope's ass. This further proves it.
I want one in white.

You don't think that he might be biased?
GM engineers have also said all the last models had an excellent fit & finish too, so I'm going to have to see it myself before I'll believe.
I haven't found a GM product yet that has what I'd call a great fit & finish & I've had quite a bit of quality time with the Caddy's.
Cool. Pontiac lives. Now where's the Chevy version.
I've seen the C7 at the Detroit Auto Show and I like it. Then again, I like the new Nissan GT-R too, so I guess I have no taste.

Contrary to many fan bois on here who worship the General and all things Vette, he is pretty honest about it. Says interior fit and finish is quite good, but the big issue they are having is the sharp edges on the hood bulge. They are getting thin spots in the paint along the edge. driving them crazy.
He has said nothing about the durability or the fit and finish, though.

Man are you in luck! I'd rather sell a C4. lol
I've seen the new vette, and I like it. But I don't count as I'm a vette fanboi. And a Ginger.
From the pics & videos I've seen the C7 interior actually looks decent. Definitely not as cheap & horrible as the C5 interior.

I really like it. I just want to know how one would attach a trailer hitch with the exhaust pipes coming out the center.
