How do I make on comment on the Message Board on the "Say What" page?

A line that, according to Mrs. APEowner, I struggle with.

Don't suck.
I made "Say What?" once. It was probably the most mundane, boring thing I ever posted here. And it was just repeating what a co-worker's sister's ex-husband said about buying MG Midgets, so it wasn't technically even something I said.
(That's not a Simone line, that's his actual relation to me. I understand that it is somewhat straining that my co-worker's sister's ex is still friendly with him, which amuses me from my vantage point of Not Being Involved At All.)
I made it once talking about fixing my 80's somthing washing machine with a radiator hose from a 80's somthing Honda.
You never know what will end up there and I think that is by design.
I've made it a few times. I don't know how you make it, but I think there's a curse that if someone says "that is Say What worthy", it'll never be in Say What.
maybe make a funny post and immediately post a reply say "that line would be terrible in Say What" Maybe that'll work.
Made it once about something gardening related. I swear some of you should get a punch card for the number of entries you've had.
It's probably my lack of skill on the keypad that gets me, I am much more coherent in person but it seems I lose something in the translation to the written word.
If you think you're making a clever statement, chances are you're not. Just make honest and thoughtful posts, and sooner or later you may make it into the magazine.
I've made it twice, but apparently my literary tide receded from that high water mark a few years ago.
It's the first thing I look at when a new issue comes in the mail. Today for instance, I got the new issue, turned to page 42 or so and quickly scanned Say What to see who made it this time around, then read the Say What quotes, then that was it so far. Had to go to the airport and pick up my father in law.

Naaaa I think they know you pretty well.
If I read the OPs post right he wants to comment on one of the Say Whats.
But if they do just want to make the mag, it helps to have a comment that doesnt need any context to be funny or insightful.
Eh, I've made like a half dozen times at this point. I probably won't ever again. But generally, it's the last thing I would have expected to show up.
I've managed to get in there several times. I don't remember what I said or even when they happened. Probably some smart ass remark or other.
I do enjoy reading them.
The easiest way to get in there, is don't try. What you intend when you write, means next to nothing when some guy or girl 1000 miles away reads it on a computer screen. Who can say what will make a editor or GRM team member notice what you type. I would bet most of the "witty" remarks I type are read with a WTF?? on the other end of the screen. I just don't worry about it and carry on.
I like it because it's a small snippet that's taken completely out of context of the original conversation. As such it makes the reader wonder what the original conversation was about. More often than not the thing that makes it into say what has little or nothing to do with the conversation it was pulled from. My goal is to try to remember exactly what thread it was from and the quote itself. Yes, I know it's sad that I read almost every single post that's made on this board.
