Can anyone give me the dimensions of a SBC? Like the approximate weight, length and height? How much bigger is a BBC?

Big enough that whatever you're thinking about putting it in, it won't fit!
Thanks for the link. My friends want to build a drag car out of the '78 Midget I have laying around.

but an LS is lighter and makes more power.
There is a book with tons of engine sizes dementions and weights. I've seen it in Barnes and Nobles. Writen for hot rod guys like us!
One of us needs to take those dimensions and make a printable folded cardboard LS, that way whenever this question comes up we can chuck it at stuff to see if it fits.
"too wide for the garbage disposal" or "this fits perfectly in my geo"

Just send it to me if you can't find anything to do with it. I've been thinking of building another one with less radical-ness. (thinking Turbo G10 with simple suspension mods and brakes).
Good luck if you try to put the V8 in. A ford 302 block will fit. Exhaust is an issue though, as is the steering shaft, brakes, and everthing else that wants to occupy the front. You could tube frame it to fix those issues though.
