So for those who haven't heard, the Zoomboni let me down Sunday. It drove onto the trailer a few days earlier just fine. Sunday morning and it wouldn't power up.
Normally the start process is pretty straightforward. Master electric switch on (confirmed, good power through the system), throw the ignition toggle switch, hit the starter button and vroom. Normally when you throw the ignition toggle the fuel pump cycles for 1 second just to prime things. This time it did not. Our onsite thought was fuel pump so we ran a wire to it directly and it runs and circulates fuel just fine.
It has two relays and the 1988 ECU, I've replaced all with new and no change. Just pulled a spark plug and confirmed there is no spark when cranking (cranks fine BTW, but pretty clearly the ECU isn't powering up to tell the coil to do its thing or tell the fuel pump to come on.)
Is there someone out there expert in the diagnosis of antique Ford systems who would like to talk me through the next step? I'm kinda stumped here. Next event is in 9 days and I would like to run it.
Anyone wanting to call me: eight5nine six99 eight3four3. Thanks for any help.

Does the car still have the inertia switch? Remember those switches that would shut off the fuel pump if you got in a crash...
Link is for general info on what I assume is your ecu.
Inertia switch. The reset was in the trunk if I remember correctly.
The salt and pepper connectors on the intake were a known trouble spot.
There was a fuse block and main relay box under the hood. Check the fuses there and under the dash.
Otherwise, grounds and power cables to the EEC.
If the ecu doesn't see a crank sensor signal, it won't do much of anything.
You said it doesn't cycle the pump when you power up. I think you've lost a power supply into the ecu somewhere. Toggle switches suck. So do crimp connectors.
Just a thought - critters / wire(s)
Twice, we have had the inertia switch get toggled while on the trailer, one good bump. Other than that the MAP vacuum unhooked will cause a no start condition. Other than that the ignition module in the distributor.

Looks like this wee bastard failed. EEC relay.
But a weird one that autozone can't match. I'll mosey over to the Ford dealership Monday and see if they can get me one. If not it'll get cut out and bypassed. Gonna try the easy solution first though.
But I know what it it!!! And a massive shout out to Ashakyun (Bob) who came over and did all the heavy lifting of electronic diagnostics. My brain had skittered into the corner and was sucking its proverbial thumb. Wiring is the devil Bobby!

So the dealership was useless. Likewise every auto parts store I went to. EBay looks like there is one so I ordered it but it won't arrive till the day after our next AX.
So until then, jumper wire FTMFW!
