The SCCA has announced their qualifying procedure for this weekend's virtual Sebring event.

The Hoosier Racing Tire SCCA eSports Super Tour on iRacing continues to evolve. In an effort to determine a more fair procedure to enter the most subscribed race groups – Skip Barber F2000 and Global MX-5 Cup – the qualifying process has been tweaked for this Saturday, April 11, at Sebring International Raceway.
Those two groups will be open to any SCCA member registered for the league. Instead of a 70 minute practice, the group will immediately enter into a 60 minute qualifying session. The fastest 35 times from that session will advance, to be joined by the top five finishers from last week’s race (who have earned the free pass).
Those now-40 drivers will then run a 15-minute qualifying session to set the race grid, followed by the 20-minute race.
Touring, Big Bore, and Spec Racer Ford will remain the same as last weekend’s race. The first 40 SCCA members to join the room when the race opens will be the field for this week.
